I have recently had my childless home "blessed" with a small clutch of confection brownie, also known as a nursery or nanny brownie. Confection brownies get their colorful coats due to their dietary need and enjoyment of salt water taffy. After a long night of laying traps for imps at a local opium den, I arrived home to find a basket on my steps filled with colorful brownies of which I had never seen before. The oldest of the 3 named Martha, handed me a note which read, "They have eaten me out of shop and home, so I can no longer keep them in service to me in my confectionery shoppe. I heard you dealt with little monsters like these all the time, so I brought them to you." I carried the basket in and left them in the charge of my personal house brownie, and went to bed. When I a woke later, I was actually rather taken aback that they actually are the color of confection sweeties, and that I was not miss seeing things due to my late night. | It is up to debate in the academic community if they are helpful and watchful over children because children are more likely to have and share candy, or if candy is given to children to feed their brownie nursemaids. This type of brownie is often underfoot, and both homes with small children, and lurking in sweet shops, performing tasks in return for candy. As you can imagine since I have no children in my home and rarely partake of sweets I have had to make some adjustments to the pantry while I am studying them more closely. |
