Favoring cool wet mornings, and late dew, the single footed faerie can be found among the rotting ground cover of most forests and over grown gardens.
In it's ecological nitch, the single footed fairy serves an important roll in the creation of compost. It's slime trail is mildly caustic, helping to quicken the break down of dead matter that covers the ground in its habitat.
It is currently unknown how long these miraculous creatures live in the wild, but it can be assumed their young are often mistaken as common garden and pond snails. This specimen might have been over looked if not for it's amazing size. Larger then a mans fist, I am sure that it had seen several seasons prior to our research.
With any luck and a sharp eye we will find more of these creatures to study and perserve for the future.
